A Personalized Plan for Lasting Change

Together, we will create a personalized plan for change—typically within the first one or two sessions. From there, I will take actionable steps toward transforming your situation and your life. You don’t need to worry about where to start or what to say; I will guide you every step of the way. I specialize in child, adolescent, couple, marital, and family relationships using a cognitive therapy approach to dismantle the maladaptive patterns that keep us stuck.

A Practical, Holistic Approach to Healing

My approach is practical, focused, and down-to-earth. It is specifically designed to help clients minimize emotional pain while successfully resolving their challenges. In addition to these core principles, I draw from a variety of psychological traditions, including Gestalt, Humanistic, Psychodynamic, and Mindfulness Psychologies, integrating the best of both Eastern and Western approaches.
I also incorporate the latest advances in neuropsychology to understand how our brains function and influence behavior, facilitating lasting change. Trained in Marital Therapy, Family System Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Acceptance, Commitment, and Forgiveness Models, as well as Eastern Psychology and Spiritual Counseling, I tailor my methods to meet each client's unique needs.

An Extensive Career

I have served as an expert witness in the courts of Chester County, PA, offering insights into cases related to child welfare, child custody, mediation, parenting, marriage, separation, and divorce. I previously served as the Director of Mental Health Outpatient Services in Chester County and as the Clinical Director of The Open Door, a drug and alcohol outpatient center in West Chester, PA.
Additionally, I worked as a psychological consultant to the Divorce Trauma Center in Chester County and have provided valuable consultation to schools and Child and Youth Services on matters of domestic relations and abuse. My academic contributions include lecturing at Marywood College and the University of Delaware.
With a strong background in serving on state mental health committees and as a consultant to various state and private organizations, I now focus on helping churches and religious groups enhance communication, acceptance, forgiveness, and reconciliation.

Media Appearances

I have made appearances on both television and radio, sharing insights on relationships and emotional well-being. Several of my letters have also been published in The Philadelphia Inquirer.
I am the author of Tears of the Heart, a manuscript that delves into how children, adults, and couples often become trapped in negative habits and behaviors, which lead to conflict and dissatisfaction both within their relationships and themselves.
